August 2020 CPL Report
The August CPL report is out from the Michigan State Police. There continues to be a reduction in current statewide CPLs despite record high class numbers. However, the rate of the decrease has slowed significantly as an increasing number of county clerks offices have reopened. Total CPLs dropped by 1,314 during the month of July after falling by 2,416 in June and 3,222 in May. The full report can be read HERE.
National Shooting Sports Month
People can go target shooting year-round, but the month of August is National Shooting Sports Month -a time for the community of firearms owners to celebrate and enjoy the shooting sports with friends, family, and newcomers they want to introduce to these lifetime activities.
In 2017, the National Shooting Sports Foundation® established August as National Shooting Sports Month. This national event is designed to promote shooting sports, attract and teach new gun owners, and produce new customers and increase sales for the retail firearms market.
