John -- Throughout history, our country has been loved and hated by the rest of the world, but this is the first time we’ve ever been pitied.

In past times of crisis, we’ve done the seemingly impossible, but this president has proven unfit for the task of mobilizing to fight COVID-19, and the virus is raging across the country, with no apparent end in sight.

During World War II, our nation mobilized in an unprecedented way. At our production peak, we built bombers and aircraft carriers within days! Now, we can’t even pull together enough to provide adequate PPE to healthcare workers, teachers, and other essential workers.

Is it any surprise? In a country where the almighty dollar is more important than people, ‘essential worker’ is just another word for expendable.

John, we can’t go on this way, but let’s not throw our hands up in despair.

We don’t know what will happen in the presidential election. Trump is doing everything he can to make it difficult for voters to exercise their duty and their right to cast a ballot in November. He’s proven that he’ll do just about anything to stay in power. And he’s proven unfit to handle a pandemic and the fallout from it.

Every seat is important this cycle. Every race matters.
