In 2018, progressive Democrat Mike Siegel turned Texas' 10th district from a safe GOP seat to a national battleground – and in 2020, he's going to finish the job. Friend -- I’m just making sure you saw that our campaign was named a TOP Texas race to watch!

Statesman: We’re watching these 12 Texas congressional battlegrounds, Ranking 7th: Texas 10th Congressional District

The reason we made the list is because Mike came only 4 points away from winning last cycle! This is exciting news -- but it also comes with bad news.

News outlets keep pointing out that we’re dealing with a pretty large money gap against our opponent Michael McCaul. And that is the only reason they are still hesitant to say we’re anything more than “competitive”.

We have to respond and start making up ground. So, we’re launching an emergency $15,000 Rapid Response goal to start making up the gap. Can I count on you to chip in to help us hit it today?

Siegel, who lost to McCaul in 2018...enters the general election with less than $165,000, well behind the $1.3 million in the bank for McCaul, who is serving his eighth term. (The incumbent also has deep pockets if needed.) -- Statesman

My team has reached out to show you: we are making progress on catching up -- at just over a million raised to date -- but McCaul’s war chest keeps growing too.

Team -- I know we’ve got the grit and the values to win this race, but unfortunately we need the money to get our message out to voters. We’re dealing with a deep-pocket opponent, so I’ve got no choice but to ask you: will you chip in a grassroots donation to our campaign today to keep us competitive?

We need your help closing this gap so we can go from “competitive” to a victory in November.

Thanks for the support,
Nick
