Sunday, August 9, 2020 Chairman’s Report Dear John, We are continuing our tour around New York State to support our incredible 2020 candidates and deliver a clear message: the New York Republican Party stands firmly with the men and women of law enforcement. On Wednesday, I traveled to Watertown in the North Country for a Back the Blue event, where I was joined by many of our great elected officials, including Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Assembly Republican Leader Will Barclay, Assemblymen Walczyk and Blackenbush, Lewis County Sheriff Carpinelli and others. I want every New Yorker in every corner of the state to hear us loud and clear: our feet are planted solidly on the thin blue line with the brave heroes who risk their lives to keep us safe every day. Our law enforcement does a job that deserves our respect and our thanks. We need to DEFEND the police, not DEFUND the police. On this week’s video town hall, we were pleased to have three of our incredible female candidates who are running for office in some of our top-targeted races this year -- Chele Farley (NY-18), Liz Joy (NY-20) and Angi Renna (NYS Senate District 50). These accomplished women are leading the way in proving how smart, Republican policies will rebuild our economy, restore safety and security and create a bright future for America and New York. We're proud to have them representing the NYGOP in their races this year and were thrilled that they joined us to share their insights and updates on their campaigns. If you were unable to attend, I encourage you to watch the town hall below. Sincerely, Nick Langworthy New York State Republican Chairman Watch Chairman Langworthy’s Weekly Video Town Hall Video: Chairman Langworthy Travels to Watertown and Joins Elected Officials and Party Leaders to Support the Brave Men and Women in Law Enforcement Candidate Spotlight: Liz Joy Liz is another great candidate on the GOP ticket running to represent New York’s 2oth Congressional District, which encompasses five counties in Upstate New York. She is a staunch advocate of protecting our constitutional freedoms and amendments and is the much-needed change that we need in D.C. Make sure you get out and support Liz -- she gives us a great opportunity to flip NY-20 from blue to red in November!
