John,

The results of this week’s primary election are in, and we have our opponent — Jerry Sheridan.

Jerry Sheridan proudly served as Arpaio’s chief deputy, where he upheld and enforced the culture of cruelty, fraud, waste, and relentless bigotry that plagued that administration.

A federal judge found both Sheridan and Arpaio in civil contempt for disobeying the 2011 court order to stop the immigration patrols and botching an effort to gather traffic-stop videos that were supposed to be turned over, but were withheld in the profiling case.

We defeated the Arpaio-Sheridan administration in 2016 by building a broad coalition of Arizonans from all walks of life. And we will win again by doing the same — but we need your support, John.

Together, we have healed from the abuses of the Arpaio administration, rebuilt trust between law enforcement and the community, prioritized and maintained public safety, and implemented ethical, effective, and impactful programs to make Maricopa County safer and stronger.

Whether we continue our progress depends on this election. John, will you make a grassroots contribution to ensure our campaign is ready to defeat Jerry Sheridan?
