Friend -- In June, the Supreme Court blocked President Trump’s attempt to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which shields Dreamers from deportation from the only home they have ever known. In an effort to dismantle the program, Trump is now trying to sidestep the law by rejecting new DACA applications and limiting renewals to one year instead of two.

Many of the 700,000+ Dreamers, young people brought to the U.S. as children and infants, are working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. More than 200,000 are risking their health to help keep the country, their home and ours, safe so that we may come out stronger on the other side. Before Trump tries to do more damage to DACA, we need to defend Dreamers by creating a legislative path to citizenship.

Sign my petition demanding protections and a clear path for permanent legal status and U.S. citizenship for Dreamers.

DACA was created because we recognize that Dreamers’ home is here. They grew up in the U.S. They pay taxes to help fund for highways and schools. They contribute to our communities every day. It is our responsibility to speak up on their behalf.

Immigrants are instrumental to the framework of our country. America is made greater because they are a part of it. Stand with me and add your name to my petition if you agree.

Thank you for joining in our continued fight to protect Dreamers.
