I want to
talk about what’s been playing out at our airports and how it’s all
connected to Project 2025.

Because Democrats are fighting to rein in Trump’s rogue ICE agency and
refuse to send them MORE money until we can get them in check, Republicans
have led us to the Department of Homeland Security being shut down.

That has impacted services like TSA and FEMA — resulting in TSA workers
working 41 days without pay and causing heavy delays and chaos at airports
across the country.

Even though Democrats have proposed funding TSA to get people paid and
settle the chaos at our airports NINE TIMES, Senate Republicans blocked
every single bill.

The Trump administration and its MAGA enablers in Congress do not care
about protecting our workers or serving the traveling public.

This is all a ploy for power that pushes an inhumane agenda against our
immigrant neighbors — and that stirs up as much chaos as possible on
purpose.

This was taken straight from the Project 2025 playbook. Project 2025
proposed privatizing TSA screening, shifting airport workers away from the
government and its protections, into the hands of private contractors, and
de-unionizing TSA workers.

What we see unfolding right now is not a contingency plan. It was always
the plan. They want to use this to make the case for this essential
government service to be owned and run by another rich guy like Elon Musk.

We’re talking about the lives and livelihoods of our neighbors, who are
strained by missing paychecks and an inability to put food on the table.

We’re talking about people waiting hours in line at the airport only to
still miss expensive trips or special reunions.

We’re talking about an administration who will inflict as much pain as
possible in order to keep funding ICE — deploying those untrained agents
at our airports to scare people (and who are getting paid, by the way).

We’re talking about a government with an agenda to make taxpayer-funded
services so useless that they can sell them off to the highest bidder so
we can just pay their friends to get through the airport.

The. Cruelty. Is. The. Point.

I’ll keep fighting to expose the truth about this administration’s cruel
motives, to ensure our essential TSA workers get paid, and to abolish ICE.
