A few weeks back, after national Republicans started hitting up their elite network of right-wing millionaires on behalf of Peter's opponent, Rasmussen Reports downgraded Peter's race from "Safe Democratic" to "Likely Democratic."

Contribute $3 now to show Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Kevin McCarthy that our grassroots movement of working people is stronger than their shady club of wealthy fat cats.

Those donors gave our opponent a boost but the problem is more complicated - and much uglier - than Trump's buddies just cutting checks to Alek Skarlatos.

The biggest donations to the Skarlatos campaign aren't coming in the front door; they're sneaking through the back in the form of unlimited dark money contributions to Super PACs.

That's right: unlimited.

Then, those Super PACs can spend all that money - again, unlimited - attacking Peter.

If that plan sounds awful, that's because it is; their "bring in the million-dollar Super PACs to shout everyone else down" strategy is literally the opposite of the Team DeFazio strategy.

First of all, Peter doesn't have a Super PAC and never has. (In fact, in 2010, Peter was the very first member of Congress to be attacked by a Super PAC.) Our movement is about getting massive piles of dark money out of politics so that people call the shots in government.

Peter's always fighting to overturn the disastrous Citizens United decision that allows corporations and special interests to drown out the voices of working people.

Here's the thing: we know that as long as our message gets out, we'll win in November. National Republicans know it, too. That's why they're going to do everything they can to drown us out, and they're going to rely heavily on unlimited dark money to fuel their attacks.

We're deep in the fight now, and we've got fewer than 90 days left to win this. Will you chip in $3 to make sure our message comes through loud and clear?
