Our veterans need advocates in government now more than ever. During this pandemic, they face increased mental health issues and mass unemployment.
That’s why Mark Takano and some of his Democratic colleagues in the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee started Go for Broke for Veterans. If we’re going to get more veteran advocates in Congress this November, we now have only a few short months to make it happen!
But we’re facing a major budget hole and need to raise $15,000 by midnight Saturday so we can stay on track to support candidates across the country. Will you help out for our veterans?

We’ve all seen how Trump has failed our military and veterans – despite his constant claims of supporting them. He’s let for-profit colleges prey on our vets, has called traumatic brain injuries suffered by our troops “headaches,” didn’t do anything to stop Russians from paying bounties to attack our troops in Afghanistan, and, most recently, Trump’s secret police are attacking veterans peacefully protesting.
It’s up to us to turn this around, team.
This initiative was born out of the idea that we need to elect more people to Congress who will take a stand for our veterans – making sure the VA isn’t privatized, stopping for-profit institutions from taking advantage of them, etc. – and every donation made will bring us one step closer to that goal.
