The Trump administration just sided with a media behemoth over Colorado consumers. I am fighting back.

While the Justice Department is being corrupted and ignoring the law, I am fighting for Coloradans. It’s why I’m running for governor: to show up and stand up for the people of our state.

Here’s what’s happening:

The federal government just approved the sale of Tegna to Nexstar. Tegna owns Denver local station 9News. Nexstar owns FOX31, another newsroom here in town. Donald Trump personally called for the approval of the deal.

Nexstar is already the nation’s largest owner of local news stations. And, for the first time ever, on account of this merger, multiple major broadcast stations in the same city would be combined.

My office is now in court, seeking a temporary restraining order to hit pause on this deal. Here’s why we need to stop the merger:

❌ We would lose diverse perspectives in our news.

❌ Employees would lose their jobs.

❌ Consumers would be forced to pay higher rates for cable and satellite.

I will say it simply: this merger is bad news. That’s why I’m suing to stop it. And it’s why, as your next governor, I am committed to standing up and fighting for Coloradans anytime an irresponsible corporation tries to harm us — no matter who they are.

I’m not afraid to stand up for our state, even if it means standing up to the wealthy and powerful. You can count on me to be a governor who serves the people — not special interests, not billionaires, and definitely not corporate behemoths. So can you pitch in $5, $25, or whatever works for you today and power this campaign? >>> [[link removed]]
