Boomers are no longer the US majority

The demographics in the United States hit a milestone where baby boomers (born between World War II and 1964) are no longer the majority. The change will certainly have an effect on the make-up of shoppers and consumer habits. William Frey, a senior fellow at Brookings’ Metropolitan Policy Program, wrote in the analysis, “Now, the oldest millennial is 39, and with their numbers exceeding those of baby boomers, the millennial generation is poised to take over influential roles in business and government.”

Walmart announces free drive-in movies

Entertainment Weekly reports that Tribeca Film Festival and Walmart are partnering to host the Walmart Drive-in, a series of free drive-in movie screenings in store parking lots across the country. They are hoping to bring the big screen back to communities in a safe manner.
