When will consumers feel safe?

Consumer comfort levels for leisure activities appeared to be returning to pre-pandemic levels earlier this summer, but as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases began to surge in the late June, Morning Consult data shows consumers became less comfortable. The data has reflected little change in opinions since.

DoorDash launches digital convenience store service

In select U.S. cities, DoorDash debuted DashMart to allow convenience stores to sell snacks and groceries online. The undertaking appears to challenge online marketplaces like Instacart and Amazon, along with more traditional brick-and-mortar retailers like Walmart and Target. But, DashMart’s effort hopes to stand out with the speed at which customers will receive deliveries.
