Hawaiʻi Republican Party Welcomes Representative Elle Cochran


HONOLULU, Hawaiʻi — The Hawaiʻi Republican Party today welcomed Representative Elle Cochran of West Maui (District 14) following her decision to join the Hawaiʻi House Republican Caucus.

Representative Cochran represents communities in West Maui that continue to recover from the Lahaina fires. Her district has faced extraordinary challenges, and her focus has remained on serving families, supporting recovery efforts, and advocating for the long-term future of her community.

Her decision reflects a commitment to ensuring that the voices of West Maui are heard and that leadership remains grounded in the needs of the people she represents.

“This is about service. It’s about putting people first and making sure communities like West Maui have a strong voice moving forward,” said Kaulana Lee, Vice Chair of the Hawaiʻi Republican Party.

Lee continued, “Across Hawaiʻi, more people are asking for leadership that listens, that takes responsibility, and that is willing to work toward real solutions. This moment reflects that shift. It shows that there is a growing recognition that our communities are stronger when more voices are part of the conversation.”
