Pennsylvania has always been a place where things are made.

Manufacturing supports nearly 600,000 jobs across the Commonwealth and fuels billions of dollars for our towns and cities. But right now, the global economy is changing fast — and Pennsylvania risks getting left behind if we don’t act.

Around the world, manufacturers are looking to create products that are more durable, lighter, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly. Things like cleaner steel, energy-efficient equipment, heat pumps, and modern turbines. 

These industries are growing quickly and creating good-paying jobs. Pennsylvania is perfectly positioned to lead this transition — but only if lawmakers step up.

HB 1556 would create a new tax credit to manufacturers that are creating clean technologies and products — keeping jobs local and attracting new businesses.

This bill passed with bipartisan support in the State House, and we need your help to make sure it gets passed in the Senate. Tell Senator Nikil Saval to support House Bill 1556 and invest in clean manufacturing jobs in Pennsylvania. 

Costs are going up for all of us. One way we can address this in the long-term is to grow the tax base in our towns and bring more good-paying, middle class jobs to PA. 

Creating an Advanced Clean Manufacturing Tax Credit is a key part of rebuilding our towns and bringing big employers to PA. The bill would do that by:

• Helping existing Pennsylvania manufacturers modernize and stay competitive
• Attracting new clean manufacturing businesses to our state
• Creating thousands of good-paying jobs
• Cutting harmful pollution from existing industries

It’s a win for workers, communities, and our environment. 

This bill was passed with bipartisan support in the State House – which is a huge deal – but all of our bills have stalled in the State Senate. If we’re going to get it moving there, we need to make sure every state senator hears from their constituents on this. 

Urge Senator Saval to support HB 1556 to create an Advanced Clean Manufacturing Tax Credit and give our communities the boost they need with more in-state manufacturing jobs.
