Hello John,

Three years ago today, Jacinda Ardern unveiled our 2017 election slogan: Let’s do this.

With those three words, Labour promised to bring positive change to New Zealand, and thanks to the supporters who campaigned their hearts out to help us form a Government, we have.

But, we know there’s still more to do, and we can’t put the brakes on now. We must keep up this momentum and keep New Zealand moving.

To do this, we need to secure a second term for Jacinda and the Labour team. That means we need to reach out to voters and make sure they not only know our 2020 slogan - Let’s keep moving - but they also know about our plan to rebuild New Zealand too.

But, as Director of Fundraising, I know that reaching voters can be expensive. With less than seven weeks until election day, the clock is ticking.

To make sure we can get our message and our plan in front of voters, we need to make sure we have enough money to pay for our digital ads programme. <[link removed]>

So, if you want to re-elect a Labour Government this September, we have a challenge for you: Back in 2017, on the day Jacinda launched our ‘Let’s do this’ slogan, generous supporters like you chipped in more than $11,300 to support our campaign and help us reach voters around New Zealand.

On the anniversary of this moment, we’re asking if you can help us raise the same again today.

Will you donate today to help us reach our goal, so we can return the Labour team to Government on 19 September? <[link removed]>

DONATE $25 <[link removed]>

DONATE $50 <[link removed]>

DONATE $100 <[link removed]>

CHIP IN OTHER AMOUNT <[link removed]>I know it’s a big ask, but this election is an important one. Labour’s plan for rebuilding New Zealand in the wake of COVID-19 is already underway, but the results on 19 September will dictate whether or not we can continue to keep New Zealand moving.

Every donation we receive today will help us spread our message and get us one step closer to securing another Labour Government. If you’re able to, will you donate today to help us reach our goal? <[link removed]>

In 2017, we said ‘Let’s do this’ - and we couldn’t have done so without the support of people like you. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed so far, and for your ongoing support. Now, let’s keep moving. <[link removed]>

Talk soon,

Grace

A short note on donations:

John, recently our focus has been on helping communities through COVID-19. It wasn’t a time for political campaigning, but instead a time for concentrating on the welfare of our communities.

This was absolutely the right decision. But pausing our campaign meant we also put all of our fundraising activity on hold too. So now we’ve restarted our campaign, we’re asking for the help of supporters to help get us back on track.

We recognise that not everyone is in a position to make a financial contribution, and there are many other ways to support our movement. However, if you are able to, please click the button below to make a donation to our campaign fund today.
