John,

I wanted to reach out personally after President Trump has launched another dangerous, illegal attack on Iran without authorization from Congress.

We have no reason to believe America was at any imminent risk — especially after President Trump claimed to have “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program in June. Instead of pursuing diplomacy, he chose unilateral military action that puts our troops in harm’s way and risks plunging the entire region into deeper conflict.

Today, I want to hear directly from you:

Do you believe Congress should block further military strikes?
YES — CONGRESS MUST ACT NOW [[link removed]]

NO — LET THE STRIKES CONTINUE [[link removed]]

Let me be clear: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led a brutal and oppressive regime. I stand with the Iranian people bravely protesting for change. But this attack was not a plan for peace. It violates our Constitution and undermines Congress’s authority to decide when and how we send our service members into harm’s way.

We have no kings in America.

We are a democracy. The American people have been clear: they do not want another costly, endless war. They want us focused here at home — lowering the cost of groceries, expanding access to health care, and making sure everyone has a safe, affordable home.

We must immediately pass a War Powers Resolution to rein in this unauthorized use of our military and taxpayer dollars.

This is about defending our Constitution, protecting our troops, and ensuring that decisions about war and peace reflect the will of the American people — not the impulses of one man.

Thank you for standing up and making your voice heard today.

— Becca
