Today is caucus day in CD 1, Johh!

Across our state, Democrats are gathering in their neighborhoods (and some online) to connect and move our party forward. When we come together like this, it reminds me of what makes Colorado so strong: engaged communities, grassroots energy, and people who care enough to show up. And this year, showing up matters more than ever.

Defending our democracy means demanding accountability from those who abuse their power, fighting Donald Trump's reckless agenda with every tool available, and retaking the House in 2026 so we can restore real oversight. Now, more than ever, this is critical.

As we fight Trump's reckless MAGA agenda, I am also advancing our progressive goals:

* I'm leading the charge to pass Medicare for All — taking on Big Pharma to bring down prescription drug prices and defending our public health system from reckless political interference.

* As Co-Chair of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, I'm organizing Democrats to protect abortion access and ensure women — not politicians — make their own health care decisions.

* I've introduced legislation to clean up toxic pollution and improve air quality in communities that have been ignored for too long, including Denver's Globeville and Elyria-Swansea neighborhoods.

* I've secured millions in federal funding for our city to expand affordable housing, strengthen local health care, and improve transportation for working families.

* And I'm fighting to raise wages, reduce the cost of college, and defend our LGBTQ+ neighbors from discrimination.

This is a moment for courage, not caution. Caucus is where momentum starts, and it's crucial that we keep building on it every single day. I'm in this fight for a future where every American is a priority — but I need you with me.
