John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:

  • Where are donations to Black Lives Matter actually going?
In some ways Black Lives Matter represents a perfect storm of donor confusion. It has been a vague, confusing movement that suddenly found itself riding an emotional wave of outrage at Geoge Floyd's horrific death. The resulting flood of contributions to numerous groups claiming to be related to Black Lives Matter highlights the need for donors to perform due diligence before giving to any cause. CRC's Robert Stilson reports here.
  • Who leads and finances the war on America's police?
The Black Lives Matter (BLM) Global Network Foundation, the leading group in the BLM movement, just changed to a new fiscal sponsor. Where the foundation had previously used Thousand Currents -- a nonprofit with a convicted domestic terrorist on its board, as we reported here -- the foundation now passes donations through the Tides Center. The change is understandable, because the Tides Center's sister group, Tides Advocacy, has launched numerous campaigns against American law enforcement. CRC's Hayden Ludwig exposes the Tides links here.
  • What provoked a journalists' union's wrath this time?
Last week, John Kass, a right-leaning columnist for the Chicago Tribune, dared to report "on the growing sense of lawlessness in America's urban areas." The Chicago Tribune Guild responded with "an open letter to management defaming me, by falsely accusing me of religious bigotry and fomenting conspiracy theories." CRC's Michael Watson reports on this latest "woke" newsroom here.
  • Why are "creation care" activists trying to infiltrate Evangelicalism?
The gospel of "creation care" tries to rebrand the global warming agenda as biblical. In the process, creation care activists want to broaden "pro-life" concerns to include environmentalism -- stretching the definition of "pro-life" till it becomes vulnerable to leftist ideas such as redistribution of wealth, open borders, and even abortion. CRC's Hayden Ludwig looks below the pseudo-biblical veneer of creation care here.
