I wanted to reach out today after what we all witnessed last night.

While Donald Trump stood before Congress delivering another speech filled with division, fear, and political theater, Becca was outside on the National Mall — standing shoulder to shoulder with organizers, advocates, and people directly impacted by this administration’s policies.

And if you saw her remarks, you know why so many people are fired up today. She stepped up to the microphone and said:

“I like to refer to myself as that scrappy little dyke from Vermont, but tonight, I’m America’s scrappy little dyke.”

The crowd erupted. That’s who Becca is. Authentic. Fearless. Unapologetic about who she is and who she fights for. She also said something that stuck with all of us:

“I am a bare-knuckle brawler with a heart.”

A fighter when our rights are on the line — but grounded in compassion for the people she serves. And the contrast last night could not have been clearer.
