John,

I love my dog, Marley! He is a good dog. But have you met Millie??

Millie, like Marley, is a rescue pup. We found her on the side of the road 7 years ago with a shattered back leg and nursed her back to health. She’s been running side by side with Marley ever since –– with a little bit of a hobble.

Millie has also been rather sad lately. You see she really wants to go for a walk each day… but I can’t take her until I hit my fundraising goal for the day. We are so close to our end of month fundraising deadline tonight.

I know she looks so pathetic… but so cute. Okay, I’m taking her for a walk and I’m hoping that by the time I’m back in the next hour, you will have taken a minute to pitch in a grassroots donation to our campaign.

I’m working hard every day, sometimes late into the evening, calling voters, holding town halls, and getting out supporters to vote early. Thank you for helping me reach our fundraising goal.

The midnight deadline is in just a few hours. Finishing this final leg of the campaign with a strong fundraising report will give us the momentum we need to carry this on home to a victory.

Thank you for all of your support - we are almost there.

- Ted

P.S. Millie says thank you!

John.

It is the end of the month fundraising deadline and I’m going to ask you to pitch in a donation. But before that, I thought I’d send you a cute photo of my dog Marley.

Marley, our 8-year-old pit-lab mix, is truly the bestest boy –– he sprints the perimeter of the fence each morning, guarding every square foot of our backyard and making sure he does his job to keep me and Andrea safe, mostly from squirrels. But Marley’s favorite thing by far - is playing fetch.

I love my pup. But lately, he’s been sad, because he overheard me tell our campaign team that we are short on our fundraising goals for July and will need to cut back on our field program. Falling behind on our fundraising means more time on the phone and less time playing fetch these last 11 days.

Marley is a worrier. But I told him not to because Team Ted has thousands of supporters who care about electing progressive Democrats to local office, supporters like you who are reading this right now.

John. grassroots supporters like you are our secret weapon. When we unite as one voice and demand change, it can happen. That’s why I need you to speak up right now.

Our fundraising deadline is midnight tonight -– the last one before the August 11th runoff. Now is the time to pitch in and support our people-powered campaign.
