Back in 2018, I was part of the Blue Wave in Texas, unseating long-term Congressman Pete Sessions and becoming the first Democrat to ever represent the 32nd District.

That election was big for Texas Democrats. And few people came to our aid more than Joe Kennedy.

Joe showed up for us time and again. He leant his time, his resources, his support, and his encouragement to me and other young candidates — in Texas and across the country — that were fighting tooth and nail for the future of the Democratic Party.

Now it’s my turn to show up for Joe. Because I know he is the kind of leader we need in the United States Senate to help lead the fights of this generation.

Before I was a civil rights attorney, I was a linebacker for the Tennessee Titans, and I went up against the New England Patriots several times. And he will always — always — show up for his team.
