Senator Sherrod Brown visits Newark

Thank you to the roundtable participants and to all of you that attended our event on Monday afternoon to welcome Senator Brown to Newark. It was very successful. Thank you!

The grassroots organizations and faith based groups in our city have highlighted gaps in our social services. The need for a centralized intake process for those that are homeless, the need for public transportation and purposeful leadership to develop mixed housing options in our city. I hope those in attendance learned from the shared stories. We also strengthened our relationship with the Senator.

We have great momentum in our campaign to bring new leadership to Newark City Hall. As Labor Day approaches, we are entering the final two months of this campaign. Sherrod Brown gave us the boost we needed to keep going! Please consider chipping in a few dollars to help us get our campaign mailings out to the voters of Newark!
