John, As if 2020 weren’t bad enough already, now Donald Trump is doing his damnedest to discredit the results of the November election.
It doesn’t come as a surprise Trump is taking a page from the authoritarian playbook. But that doesn’t make it any less unconstitutional or dangerous. And GOP lawmakers and leaders in Texas are following Trump’s lead, especially Attorney General Ken Paxton and Governor Abbott. The Texas GOP is working overtime to rig the election in their favor by threatening and intimidating Texans who want to exercise their right to vote without risking their health and safety. We can’t let them use Trump’s claim as an excuse to undermine our constitution.
