"The self-styled democracy party isn't behaving democratically."

John,

Even the Washington Post can't defend what Democrats are doing in Virginia.

This past weekend, the Post editorial board published a scathing piece calling
out the"brass-knuckled hypocrisy" of Richmond Democrats trying to gerrymander
Virginia.

Here's what they wrote:

"The self-styled democracy party isn't behaving democratically. Democrats in
Richmond are trying to effectively disenfranchise millions of Virginians by
redrawing congressional maps to give themselves 10 of the commonwealth's 11
House seats."

Let that sink in. The Washington Post — not exactly a conservative publication
— is calling this what it is: an anti-democratic power grab.

The Post goes on:

"Democrats [are giving themselves] control of 91 percent of House seats in a
state where Republicans lost the last presidential election by just six points."

That's not democracy. That's rigging the system.

And here's the kicker about Governor Spanberger:

"Abigail Spanberger was among the two-thirds of Virginians who voted in 2020
to transfer once-a-decade redistricting from the legislature to a bipartisan
commission. 'Gerrymandering is detrimental to our democracy,' she said back
then."

Then she signed the bill to tear it all up.

The Post didn't hold back on Senate Leader Louise Lucas either — calling her
out for ignoring warnings that this overreach could backfire and for dismissing
even fellow Democrats who suggested a less extreme map.

But here's what matters most:

The Post concludes that it's now up to the people of Virginia "to stand up for
the principle that voters should choose their representatives, not the other
way around."

That's exactly what I've been saying.

And that's exactly why I need your help RIGHT NOW.

When even the Washington Post says Democrats are acting anti-democratically,
you know this has gone too far.

Voters on both sides lose as their fundamental rights are eroded.

I'm fighting this power grab with everything I've got. Will you stand with me?
