Hi John,

An MP in New Brunswick just stood up for YOU by rejecting his pay raise.

Members of Parliament are automatically taking a pay raise on April 1 — backbench MPs already make a base salary of $209,000.

But New Brunswick MP Mike Dawson rejected his pay raise.

“At a time when everyday Canadians are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living, I cannot in good conscience accept the pay increase of nearly $10,000 which every Member of Parliament is set to receive,” he wrote.

You know how some of the politicians are going to react — we’re already hearing that some MPs are fuming mad that someone is breaking ranks and standing in the way of their payday.

You can tell Dawson what you think of him standing up for taxpayers by rejecting MP pay raises.

When you click the automatic link below, a pre-addressed email will pop up. It’s easy – just send a short, respectful message. And when you hit send, it will BCC us because it helps us to know what people are telling politicians.

Will you tell Dawson he’s right to stand up for taxpayers?
