Ohio Republicans specifically drew this district to give themselves an extra seat in Congress. That's the kind of undemocratic corruption that an overwhelming majority of Ohioans voted to ban in 2018.
There's no better way to defend democracy than winning in a district that was designed to strengthen one-party rule.
And that's not all that our race represents, friend. The deputy director of ICE is running for this seat. A victory over her would be a clear rejection of the lawlessness, cruelty, and extremism of the past year.
Plus, our district has regularly become one of the top targets for dark money super PACs and corporate special interest groups. Last election cycle, they spent $25 million trying to buy this seat.
If we believe in a democracy that can't be bought and sold, we have to win with people power right here in OH-09.
