John,
Have you ever heard of medical tourism?
It’s a uniquely American phenomenon. Basically, it’s booking an
international trip specifically seeking medical care.
Like, for example, traveling to South Korea for cancer treatment. Or
Canada for dental care. You get the idea.
Some clinics overseas even offer “medical tourism packages,” so Americans
can get a full check-up at a much cheaper cost.
This is WILD.
In the richest, most powerful country in the world, getting the healthcare
you need shouldn’t require a passport.
And yet, that’s where we are because our healthcare system is designed to
extract as much money as possible, not to keep people healthy.
I’ve spent my career studying this system. I became a doctor. I worked in
public health. I literally wrote the book on Medicare for All.
And I can tell you this with certainty: It does not have to be this way.
Medicare for All would allow every American to get the care they need here
at home.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to finally make it the law of the land,
but I can only take this fight to Washington if we build the power to win.
Corporate interests will fight Medicare for All at every step, because our
broken system is wildly profitable for them. That’s why this campaign
doesn’t take corporate PAC money, and why grassroots support matters so
much right now.

closer to making Medicare for All a reality. I hope I can count on your
support.
