On February 22, 2006, the Mises Institute created its YouTube channel, Mises Media. Ever since then, we’ve made the insights and wisdom shared by virtually every speaker at nearly every Mises event available online for free to anyone who wants to listen. That was exactly 20 years ago.
Since 2006, we’ve posted over 3,000 videos on YouTube and received over 35 million views. Some of the most popular videos include lectures by Tom Woods and Robert Malone that told the truth about the government’s covid response when so few were willing to; a short video by Connor O’Keeffe explaining the real purpose of the federal government’s Real ID program; an archived talk by World War II veteran Eugene Sledge—who was portrayed in the hit HBO series The Pacific—about the costs of war; and a presentation by USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney about the attack he and his shipmates sustained and that the US government is still trying to sweep under the rug fifty years later. Our 2024 film Playing with Fire: Money, Banking, and the Federal Reserve provides a look at how the Fed uses its expanding power to damage our economy, increase inequality, and to impoverish ordinary Americans.
