I got to hang out with my favorite pediatrician and candidate for Senate, Annie Andrews. We talked about all she’s doing in South Carolina to put spineless Lindsey Graham’s feet to the fire to finally kick him to the curb next year, and how she OUTRAISED him, showing the momentum her campaign has. And frankly, John, it’s momentum I know we all witnessed at the No Kings Rallies across the country. The No Kings initiative is important because we have to stand up for our rights, for our democracy, and against authoritarianism.
Annie had someone tell her this was a “hate America rally.” That kind of language truly pisses me off — because it couldn’t be further from the truth. These are people who love this country. We love America, and this country stands for things that Donald Trump wants to take away from us: the right to free speech, the right to vote, and the right to basically have a government that's not run by a bunch of corrupt morons. That’s why we came together, and that’s why we have to elect Annie to the Senate. She’s running against one of those corrupt morons, and I’m more than ready to see his reign end. But Annie can’t do this alone; she needs all of us to have her back.
