Hi John,
I hope you and your family are doing well as we get settled into the new year. It’s been a busy season preparing for the legislative short session, and I’ve been hard at work focusing on the priorities I hear most about from folks across Moore and Richmond counties.
From standing up for public safety to keeping personal income taxes low and supporting opportunities for our students and families, my goal remains the same — to deliver practical results that strengthen our communities and protect the values we share.
As always, my door is open. If there’s ever anything I can do to help you or your family, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
At your service,
Ben

** WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORTS DAY
------------------------------------------------------------
Earlier this month, we recognized National Girls & Women in Sports Day — a time to celebrate the determination and dedication of female athletes throughout North Carolina.
Sports help young women build confidence, character, and resilience — qualities that serve them well in every area of life. We must continue to stand for fairness in competition so these athletes can succeed on a level playing field.
** RAISING PAY FOR NC LAW ENFORCEMENT
------------------------------------------------------------
North Carolina’s law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. They deserve more than our thanks, they deserve real support.
I’m proud to sponsor legislation in the North Carolina General Assembly that provides pay raises for our law enforcement officers. This is about recruitment, retention, and showing our officers that North Carolina values their service and sacrifice.
Supporting law enforcement means backing it up with action, and I’ll continue working to ensure our officers have the respect, resources, and compensation they’ve earned.
** LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY
------------------------------------------------------------
“Blessed are the peacemakers.”
In January, we honored the law enforcement officers who serve Moore and Richmond Counties, courageously protecting our families, our neighborhoods, and our way of life. We are grateful for their steadfast commitment, integrity, and service to our communities.
** NEW YEAR, LOWER TAXES
------------------------------------------------------------
North Carolina families are finally getting a little more breathing room this year. Lower income taxes mean more of your hard-earned money stays where it belongs — in your pocket, not the government’s. Government doesn’t create prosperity — North Carolina workers do.
