This is Abdul El-Sayed, candidate for US Senate in Michigan. Something incredible just happened in New Jersey.
In a competitive Democratic primary, AIPAC went all-in – spending millions of dollars, launching attack ads, and throwing the full weight of their donor network behind their preferred candidate.
And it didn’t work.
The Bernie-backed candidate they tried to crush is now leading the race, and by all indications, they’re going to win.
This proves something I’ve believed since we started this campaign: That when everyday people stick together, we can overcome even the biggest political machines.
I’m grateful for the PCCC’s help winning this race. The results in New Jersey have me feeling extremely hopeful about our odds, but I won’t sugarcoat it… AIPAC is coming for us next.
They’ve already chosen their preferred candidate in our primary. And if New Jersey teaches us anything, it’s that when AIPAC decides to intervene, they do it aggressively – with money, misinformation, and a lot of outside pressure.
But I’m not afraid. I know this team has the grit and guts to stand up to them, just like what we’re seeing in New Jersey.
What matters most is when we act:
- If we wait until the attacks are already on TV, we’re stuck playing defense.
- If we organize now, we stay in control – building our grassroots strength, expanding our reach, and making it clear that this campaign belongs to the people of Michigan, not to any special-interest group.
