Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has repeatedly ignored our demands to enforce Illinois law.

Every year from March through October, the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act is violated at cruel steer tailing events. The Governor is fully aware of this. We have provided video evidence documenting the abuse, yet no positive action has been taken.

Instead of stepping in to protect animals and uphold the law, Governor Pritzker has chosen political agendas ahead of his responsibility to the people and animals of Illinois.

His silence proves his contempt for Humane Organizations. Innocent animals continue to suffer while the law is ignored.

Dear Governor Pritzker,

I’m writing to express my deep concern that the Illinois state Humane Laws are not being enforced when it comes to steer tailing events. This deliberate disregard for animal welfare not only undermines the integrity of your laws but also damages the state’s reputation in the eyes of humane communities across the nation and around the world and shows absolute contempt for animal advocates and humane agencies.

If you truly aspire to lead Illinois again as governor, or someday as President of the United States, it’s vital to demonstrate respect for all laws, not just those that align conveniently with your political agendas. Upholding humane standards shows strength, compassion, and integrity. Values that every great leader should possess.

I urge you to take immediate action to enforce the state’s Humane Laws and end the cruel practice of steer tailing. Please show the people of this state, the nation, and the world that you stand for justice, compassion, and accountability.

Thank you and I hope you show all of us that you do care about upholding the humane laws as they stand and show compassion to people and animals alike.
