Dear John,
Rep. Pete Stauber says he represents Minnesotans.
He’s lying, and we’re about to make sure everyone knows it.
Here are the facts: Seventy percent of Minnesotans support permanent protection for the Boundary Waters, and communities closest to the Boundary Waters in Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis County all voted against Rep. Stauber in the last election.
Yet Rep. Stauber continues to prioritize finding legislative loopholes to hand over America’s most visited Wilderness to the highest bidder and send the minerals to China.
Stauber claims that this toxic mine next to the Boundary Waters is what his constituents want. Again, he is lying. This is not what the Arrowhead wants. This is not what Minnesotans want.
Time and time again, Rep. Stauber votes against what the majority of his constituents want: to protect the country’s most visited Wilderness – the Boundary Waters.
That is not representation. That is ignoring his district.
He must be held accountable. We can do that, but we need your help.
We’re raising funds to put up a billboard that exposes the truth about Pete Stauber, and it will be placed where lawmakers, his constituents, the media, and anyone heading north toward the Boundary Waters cannot ignore it. A bold, public reminder that Rep. Stauber is out of touch with Minnesota.
Will you chip in to help us put up this billboard?
