House Republicans just voted to make it easier for mining companies to pollute our public lands.
They just passed the “Critical Mineral Dominance Act” which will allow these mining companies to extract our resources and tear up our public lands at bargain prices.
Once again, Republicans in Washington are putting billionaires and corporations ahead of the health and safety of our environment and public lands.
The timing of this is especially suspicious given the fact that Donald Trump just announced he is taking a $1.6 billion stake in a rare earth company.
Now his allies in Congress just passed a law that will leave the American people with the bill for costly mining pollution, toxic drinking water, increased health problems, and long-term environmental damage. If it sounds like corruption, that’s because it is!
We cannot give mining companies unfettered access to our public lands and resources at any cost and allow them to write their own rules. Our SEEC members are fighting back against this corporate giveaway to giant polluters, but we can’t do it without you.
