Minneapolis & the anti-ICE movement: What lessons can we apply in Seattle & beyond? February 7 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm Victrola Cafe (411 15th Ave E) Community Room There’s a change afoot. Since Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s murders there’s been a discernible shift with an intensification of struggle and a radicalization of consciousness. From the mass work stoppage to the neighborhood organizing to the protests and rallies, both large and small – the outlines of an even greater, titanic mass movement can be seen in the immediate future.
But how to get there? Beyond the ICE Out and Jail the Killer ICE Agents demands, what demands could the movement call for that could draw the broader layers of the working class into the movement? Should we call for a nationwide general strike? What lessons can we learn from Minneapolis? What could we do in Seattle?

Scrambled eggs, pancakes, tater tots, and beans and rice! Pastries, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Water! Come to cook, eat breakfast, and get to know your unhoused neighbors here in the U District!
Sundays at University Heights Community Center. Cooking (offsite) 8:00am – 9:30am. Serving (UHeights outdoors) 10:00am – Food Runs Out. Feel free to come to one or both shifts!

We are currently seeking financial supporters to bottom-line a breakfast day! Each breakfast costs around $235 in Food + equipment to serve 100-150 people.
The People’s Breakfast is a project of the Seattle Mutual Aid Coalition (SMAC) in partnership with Seattle DSA through the Mobilization Committee.
