Junaid Ahmed is the progressive, working-class candidate we need more of in Congress.

Justice Democrats

The 2026 Democratic primaries are here: early voting has officially begun in Illinois, John!

While incumbent Justice Democrat Rep. Delia Ramirez is unopposed in her primary, we’ve got a progressive, working-class candidate running for the open seat in IL-08: Junaid Ahmed.

And AIPAC is already spending through new secret PACs for his corporate opponent:

Tweet by Akela Lacy: Missed this: Illinois Playbook reporting something I’ve been hearing — that AIPAC is behind the new ads today for Donna Miller in IL-02, Melissa Bean in IL-08 and Laura Fine in IL-09 run by two PACs, Elect Chicago Women and Affordable Chicago Now

Junaid is a community leader and small-business owner running to stand up to the Trump administration and Israel lobby to turn the page on corporate special interests who put profits over people.

He’s spent his life rolling up his sleeves: volunteering after natural disasters, distributing food to families in need, organizing, and fighting corporate greed. In Congress, Junaid will fight to abolish ICE, stop funding Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and pass bold policy solutions like Medicare for All.

Junaid is going up against multiple corporate candidates in this crowded race, including one former Congresswoman who has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from AIPAC’s friends in the Israel lobby and now has their quiet backing in this election.

This opponent was even called “Wall Street’s Favorite Democrat.” The Democratic Party does NOT need any more corporate stooges backed secretly by AIPAC in power.

Let’s secure a win for our progressive, working-class movement in IL-08 next month: split $5 to fuel Junaid’s campaign and Justice Democrats now!
