Personally, I prefer to focus on the positive consequences of winning an election. Protecting and restoring our Constitutional rights. Bringing down costs for families across Kansas. Keeping our communities safe from violence. Giving our kids the education they deserve. But we can’t ignore the negative consequences. And in a year like this? Those consequences could be enormous. The Kansas GOP even spent this past weekend plotting it all out at their Winter Convention. We don’t know what their 2026 platform looks like yet… but if it’s anything similar to 2024? We’re talking about an all-out abortion ban, a ban on same-sex marriage, and ripping away health care from those who need it most. As the only elected Democrat from Kansas in Washington, I’m the biggest obstacle to that agenda — which is why they’ve worked so hard over the years to take me down.
