Take Collective Action for Minnesota Businesses and Communities Across the US

Hi John,

As the events in Minneapolis are escalating, it's clear that security and accountability are essential for our communities and for businesses to operate. An economy needs predictability and security to run, and right now, we don’t have that.

The Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce asked us to help after the murder of Alex Pretti. This past week, we brought like-minded organizations together to coordinate a joint statement ([link removed] ) for responsible businesses, impact investors, and local business chapters to stand before Congress. It’s time for all of us to come together and speak on their behalf in a way that only the business community can get attention.

On February 12, ASBN will submit the joint statement to Congress demanding the immediate removal of ICE from communities and an assessment of its presence until appropriate accountability measures are in place.

As a member of the responsible business community, your voice matters. Sign the business letter to Congress and contact your representatives ([link removed] ) to demand accountability and the security our economy and communities need. This is an opportunity to exercise your leadership — we hope you take it.

BREAKING NEWS: ASBC has won the landmark Texas ESG case protecting freedom to invest responsibly

Yesterday, February 4, 2026, a federal court struck down Texas Senate Bill 13, the so-called "business blacklist law" that punished companies and pension funds for making responsible, sustainable investment decisions. This unconstitutional law cost Texans hundreds of millions of dollars while silencing businesses that spoke about climate risk.

The court's decision is the first of its kind, and it sends a clear message: government cannot dictate investment strategies or punish businesses for considering environmental, social, and governance factors.

As ASBC President and Co-Founder David Levine said: "The court has affirmed what we've always known: you cannot punish businesses for their investment decisions or silence those who speak about climate risk." This victory protects not just responsible businesses but the fundamental freedom of all businesses to make informed decisions in the best interests of their clients, stakeholders, and communities.
