Just Tough It Out: Silent Expectations
Tuesdays, February 24–March 31
1 pm ET/12 pm CT/10 am PT
This is a six-week support group for men in the entertainment industry who are dealing with a chronic illness, injury or disabling condition(s).
Through this pilot support group, our hope is to provide a safe and confidential setting in which to explore the impact of illness and career disruption on identity; traditional roles and expectations around masculinity (the “unwritten rules”); and defining self-worth beyond physical capacity and/or professional achievement.
This group is available to anyone living in the United States, Puerto Rico and US territories. To ensure a positive group experience, a pre-group interview is required. Please log onto our portal to book an interview with the group facilitators today!
Please note that this is not a psychotherapy group and does not provide mental health treatment. If you are in need of mental health support, please reach out to the Entertainment Community Fund: entertainmentcommunity.org/MentalHealth.
Please register or log in to our Entertainment Community Fund Portal to access our workshops, programs and services. Our portal is designed to cater to your individual needs and interests, offering access to a wide range of resources and support—all with the guidance and understanding of what it takes to build a life and career in the arts.
