2026 NASN Distinguished Service and Recognition Awards: Nominations Due March 1

NASN is seeking nominations for the 2026 NASN Distinguished Service and Recognition Awards. Would you like to recognize an organization or individual that has provided outstanding service, consistently supported, or uniquely contributed to NASN, a special NASN project, school nursing, or school health services at a national level? Looking for an Easier Way to Earn CEUs for NCSN Recertification?

Supporting Students with Epilepsy: School Nurse Role & Upcoming Awareness Events

School nurses are essential to keeping students with epilepsy safe at school through chronic disease management, promotion of self-management, education on seizure preparedness and response, and coordinated care.

Seizure Action Plan Awareness Week is next week and coincides with International Epilepsy Day on February 9, 2026. Together, these observances provide important opportunities to increase understanding of epilepsy and highlight the value of individualized Seizure Action Plans. Proactive planning and education help create safer, more inclusive learning environments for students living with epilepsy.
