Israeli Airstrikes Jeopardize Ceasefire January 31, 2026 — New Jewish Narrative is alarmed by Israeli airstrikes that targeted multiple locations in Gaza on Saturday resulting in extensive loss of life. Dozens of people were killed – not all of them were militants. Countering Settler Violence: Peace Now Plants Olive Trees for Tu BiShvat When settlers destroy Palestinian crops, replanting offers hope. Last week, activists from Peace Now and Rabbis for Human Rights planted olive trees in the village of Burin in solidarity with Palestinians in the region. This commemorated Tu BiShvat, the Jewish new year for trees. The activists were met by the army, who arbitrarily declared the area a closed military zone. Nevertheless, they managed to break ground and persevere in their action. |
