Your Nebraska Game and Parks team was busy in 2025! From improving campgrounds, trails and facilities, to restoring habitat and caring for wildlife, our dedicated staff notched some great wins last year.

Olive Creek Reservoir fishery to be renovated
Better fishing is coming to Olive Creek Reservoir. Our fisheries staff are taking advantage of the low water level and working to chemically renovate the fishery, which was dominated by common carp. Fish restocking is planned for this spring, with species such as largemouth bass, bluegill, saugeye and more.

Light Goose Conservation Order starts Feb. 10
Sharpen your hunting skills by participating in the Light Goose Conservation Order, starting Feb. 10. Pursue white and blue-phase snow geese and Ross’ geese statewide, with no bag or possession limits. Different regulations apply in each zone.
