Ottawa County Unemployment Rate for December 2025

Preliminary unemployment rates for December 2025 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County had an unemployment rate of 3.9%, showing no change from November 2025.

Ottawa County was tied with Kent County and Clinton County as having the 5th lowest unemployment rate of all Michigan counties in December. Livingston County had the lowest unemployment rate at 3.5%. Mackinac County had the highest rate at 13.3%. Michigan’s unemployment rate in December was 4.8%.
