Forty years on from the international ban on commercial whaling, EIA co‑founder Jenny Lonsdale reflects on a lifetime working to protect whales and strengthen global conservation. From her first voyage to document Norwegian whaling in 1983 to helping expose cruelty and attending 28 International Whaling Commission meetings, her story is deeply intertwined with the evolution of the IWC and the fight to safeguard cetaceans.
