Back on November 4, EMILYs List women delivered a clean sweep — and it wasn't just a feel-good headline. It was a blueprint for how we take back power in 2026.
The 20 Democratic pro-choice women who won or advanced in November's elections proved that EMILYs List women are at the center of the fight to take back power:
- EMILYs List women secured a Democratic trifecta in Virginia — with Abigail Spanberger as governor, Ghazala Hashmi as lieutenant governor, and our TEN House of Delegates candidates flipping Republican seats.
- Mikie Sherrill won a hard-fought race to become New Jersey’s next governor, defeating her MAGA Republican opponent, and now ready to address the challenges facing her community.
- Justice Christine Donohue retained her seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court — helping to hold the court's progressive majority for years to come.
- And in cities across the country, voters elected Democratic pro-choice women mayors to lead their cities forward.
These women are powerful models of what it looks like to run and win in tough races, and we're proud to stand by them.
Our 2025 victories give us a blueprint for our fight to take back power in 2026 and beyond, and we're already knee-deep in recruiting and preparing the women best equipped to battle out those wins.
