This is a movement that unites people across the aisle, John.

I was joined by U.S. Senator Jon Tester, former Montana Governor Marc Racicot, and independent U.S. House candidate Gary Buchanan to talk about the negative impact of the Citizens United decision — and how we can defeat it once and for all.

Nearly 800 supporters and community members joined us to learn more about The Montana Plan, a ballot initiative that will amend the state constitution to revoke political spending powers from all corporations. This is a way that we, the people, can fight back against undue influence in our politics by the ultra-wealthy. Once we win here, that sets a precedent for all 49 other states, some of whom we have already begun to work with.

That’s why it was so important for recognized and respected Montana leaders from across the political spectrum to join us at our event. From our endorsements to our polling, we know that this issue is a great uniter, even in a time of high-profile political division. Simply put, when we get on the ballot, we will win.

We need all hands on deck to make this happen, but we know you probably have questions, and we want to be as transparent as possible. It’s the least we can do when we’re asking for your support!
