Early wins for progressives will set the tone for the entire Democratic Party this year. Reporters are also looking to know whether Democratic voters believe "any blue will do" – no matter how boring or corporate funded – or whether Democrats will fight Trump with an inspiring vision of challenging powerful interests on behalf of working families.

Christian Menefee (TX-18) is a fearless progressive who just won his special election runoff and is ready to win again. We previously endorsed Christian for Harris County Attorney, a position that he has used to take on powerful special interests, defend consumer protections, and deliver concrete results for everyday people.
Daniel Biss (IL-09) has been at the forefront of the economic fight for years. Endorsed by Senator Elizabeth Warren, the CPC PAC, and Representative Jan Schakowsky, Daniel has used power effectively as a local elected official and will continue to do that on the national stage. We previously endorsed Daniel in his successful run for Mayor of Evanston.
Robert Peters (IL-02) is a longtime advocate and legislator who has consistently centered the voices of working people. Peters is the grassroots visionary running against corrupt, corporate-backed candidates in IL-02. He has an army of progressive endorsements behind him, and a track record of working for working people in the state legislature.
These primaries are just weeks away. What happens in these races will echo through the rest of the 2026 midterms.
