John, when we win this race and I head to Washington to serve as the next Senator from North Carolina, here’s what I plan to do:
- Speak up for the people whose health care costs skyrocketed because the federal government decided to slash health care benefits and give the rich a tax break instead
- Defend the values we share — respect for our democracy, the importance of the rule of law, the right to bodily autonomy, and more — no matter who is attacking them
- Prioritize finding real solutions to the challenges facing communities across the country by investing in public education, working to lower housing costs, and stopping the ridiculous trade wars that are driving up prices at the grocery store
These commitments are just common sense, John. They’re the same policies and priorities I worked for when I served as Governor of North Carolina. In NC, we passed Medicaid Expansion which got more than 700,000 more folks covered, got raises for public school teachers, and helped build a clean energy economy that brought good jobs to our communities.
I know you share many of these priorities, and I know you want politicians to do more than talk the talk — you want your elected leaders to put in the work. I have a record of winning tough fights for the people, and I’m ready to get back to work, but I can’t make it to Washington alone.
John, we’re aiming to earn 10,000 contributions before our critical FEC filing deadline on Wednesday so we can show everyone that the grassroots momentum is on our side. Can you pitch in $5 or more right now to meet this goal and help send me to Washington to fight for you?
Let’s do this,
Roy
