Dear John,
Every February, something really special happens at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Hallways brighten. Smiles come easier. And kids facing some of the hardest days of their
young lives are reminded that they are loved and cared for—not just by their families and
their care team at CHLA, but by people everywhere. That’s the magic of sending a Valentine’s Day
card to a child at CHLA.

But the magic doesn’t stop there: For every Valentine's Day card sent, Porto's Bakery
& Cafe will donate $1 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Children’s Fund, up to
$50,000. This will help support lifesaving care, healing programs, and groundbreaking
research.
Our goal is to collect 50,000 Valentine’s Day cards for our
patients—and we need your help by 11 a.m. on Feb. 13,
so that every card arrives in time for our
Valentine’s Day party.

Will you help us fill CHLA with love this
Valentine’s Day?
Thank you for helping our patients feel seen, celebrated, and cared for—not just on
Valentine’s Day, but every day.
With heartfelt thanks,
 |

P.S., A single card really can brighten a child’s entire day—and, through our
deadline, your card will help unlock a $1 donation to CHLA’s Children’s Fund. Please don’t wait: We need your help before
Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. PT!
