| John,
What happened in Georgia last week crossed a line.
Federal agents raided the Fulton County election office, years after the 2020 election was certified, litigated, and upheld by the courts.
That alone should concern anyone who believes in democracy.
But it didn’t stop there.
Donald Trump publicly said, “We should take over the voting… Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.”
That is not how elections work in a democracy. And it is not legal.
I’m asking for your help today. Will you chip in $10 or more to help me defend the rule of law and protect the freedom to vote?

What we are seeing is a dangerous escalation.
The Trump Administration continues to make false claims about 2020. The Department of Justice is demanding access to private voter data in states like Minnesota. When states follow the law and refuse, they are sued. And now, federal law enforcement has been sent into a local election office in Georgia.
These actions send a chilling message to election workers across the country: even if you do your job honestly, you may become a target.
In Minnesota, our elections are run by neighbors, friends, and community members who take their responsibilities seriously. We have one of the highest voter turnout rates in the nation because people trust the system.
I will not allow intimidation, disinformation, or federal overreach to undermine that trust.
But defending democracy requires resources and visible grassroots support. If you believe elections should be local, lawful, and free from political interference, please chip in $10 more now.
Thank you for supporting me,
Steve
